In the European Union PPTA represents the interests of the plasma collection and fractionation industry with regards to regulatory, legislative and other public policy issues. PPTA staff works cooperatively with the EU institutions, regulatory agencies and other stakeholder organizations listed below. PPTA staff monitor developments, coordinate industry positions on existing, new and emerging issues, define and develop strategic initiatives and engage in activities on behalf of the industry in the aim to enhance the industry's regulatory, legislative and public policy environment in the European Union.
