Maintaining Immunoglobulins on the Union List of Critical Medicines to Safeguard Patient Access

As the review of the Union List of Critical Medicines (ULCM) approaches its conclusion, the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) strongly supports maintaining human normal immunoglobulins (IG) on the Union list1 as they are lifesaving, irreplaceable treatments of human origin facing ongoing supply challenges. Maintaining IG on the Union list supports the EU’s broader agenda to strengthen the resilience, security and sustainability of medicines supply as well as safeguard reliable access for patients across Europe.
